Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Fisher is an independent hobby project operated by its developer (“we,” “us,” or “Operator”). Fisher is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord Inc. “Discord” is a trademark of Discord Inc.

2. Eligibility

• You must comply with the Discord Terms of Service and Discord Community Guidelines.
• You must be old enough to use Discord in your region (generally 13+, or higher where required).
• If you add Fisher to a server, you represent that you have permission to invite bots to that server.

3. The Service

Fisher is a free entertainment bot. Features may include casting, catching virtual fish, inventory and shop systems, travel between virtual locations, daily rewards, collections, profiles, and leaderboards. Features can change, break, or be removed at any time without notice.

We do not guarantee uptime, accuracy of game outcomes, or permanent availability of any feature, score, item, or account progress.

4. Virtual goods and currency

• No real-world value. Coins, fish, rods, bait, XP, levels, streaks, collection entries, and any other in-bot items or progress are virtual only. They have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for money, goods, or services outside the Service.
• No purchases required. Fisher does not sell real-money items through the bot. Any “shop” or “buy” commands use in-game coins only.
• Progress may be lost. We may reset, adjust, wipe, or correct balances and inventories for bugs, abuse, economy balance, migrations, or shutdowns. You are not entitled to compensation for lost virtual progress.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Abuse, spam, or flood Fisher commands in a way that degrades the Service for others.
• Use automation, scripts, self-bots, macros, or alternate accounts to gain an unfair advantage (including farming leaderboards or daily rewards).
• Attempt to exploit bugs, reverse engineer the Service for abuse, or interfere with servers, databases, or infrastructure related to Fisher.
• Use Fisher to harass, scam, or harm others, or to violate Discord’s rules or applicable law.
• Impersonate Fisher, the Operator, or claim official affiliation with Discord.

We may restrict, reset, or ban users or servers from using Fisher at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for suspected abuse or any other reason.

6. Server owner / admin responsibilities

If you invite Fisher to a Discord server, you are responsible for how the bot is used there, for configuring channel permissions appropriately, and for removing the bot if you no longer want it. Fisher primarily uses slash commands and does not require broad message-reading access beyond Discord’s default bot capabilities for those interactions.

7. Intellectual property

Fisher’s name, branding, website, text, artwork (including the Fisher avatar), game data, and software are owned by the Operator or its licensors. You may not copy, resell, or rebrand Fisher as your own product without written permission.

You retain rights to content you submit through Discord; by using Fisher you grant us a limited license to process interaction data as needed to run the game (see the Privacy Policy).

8. Third-party services

Fisher runs on Discord’s platform. Your use of Discord is governed solely by Discord’s terms and policies. We are not responsible for Discord outages, account actions, or platform changes that affect Fisher.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE OPERATOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, GOODWILL, OR VIRTUAL PROGRESS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE. Our total liability for any claim relating to Fisher will not exceed USD $0, because the Service is provided free of charge.

11. Indemnity

You agree to defend and hold harmless the Operator from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of Fisher, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

12. Termination

You may stop using Fisher at any time (including by kicking the bot from your server). We may suspend or discontinue the Service, or your access to it, at any time. Provisions that by nature should survive (including disclaimers, liability limits, and IP ownership) survive termination.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of Fisher after changes means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and remove the bot.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country apply.
